RIFE is today's eWeek application development Breaking News

RIFE seems to be in the news more and more often, and today eWeek published an article about the TSSJS talk from last week.

After the presentation, Darryl Taft stepped up to me and we talked for about half an hour about topics that he could use in his article. It's nice to see that he succeeded in mixing the information from various sources into a consistent article.

You can read and comment on the article at eweek.com.

TSSJS 2006 slides available : "Flow with Continuations"

I uploaded the slides of my RIFE continuations presentation at TSSJS 2006, entitled: "Flow with Continuations".

If you forgot to grab the handouts during the conference or couldn't attend my talk, feel free to download it.

Note that the talk had almost 25 minutes of Q&A and a demonstration of debugging continuations examples with standard Java tools. A lot of the information is thus not present in these documents and your next chance to get it, is to attend TSSJS Europe 2006.

Bruce Tate also wrote an interesting article about continuation servers at developerWorks, you can discuss it on the related thread at TheServerSide.com.

TSSJS 2006 slides available : "Dive into RIFE"

I uploaded the slides of my RIFE presentation at TSSJS 2006, entitled: "Dive into RIFE".

If you forgot to grab the handouts during the conference or couldn't attend my talk, feel free to download it.

Note that the PDF document contains a few integrated QuickTime movies. You should use Adobe Reader to view the PDF on either Windows or MacOSX. To see all the content on Linux or Solaris, it's best to take the Self-playing QuickTime movie.
