OpenLaszlo without Flash

OpenLaszlo has announced their first alternative runtime: DHTML!

While this has not been released to the public yet, they did publish a demo application that has been compiled to both the Flash and the DHTML runtimes. It's amazing how much alike they are, even the cinematic effects!

Congratulations on this wonderful development, I'm looking forward to a preview release of this in May so that I can start looking at it and contributing wherever I can. This might be an excellent opportunity for me to get back into DHTML coding. A lot of the layout principles of my old RelativeLayers project apply to OpenLaszlo, and of course the latter does so much more!

Re: OpenLaszlo without Flash
wow...I was hoping for this, but never expected it to work this well..very cool. Any idea on browser requirements?
Re: OpenLaszlo without Flash
Currently it only targets Firefox 1.5, but others will follow after that.
Re: OpenLaszlo without Flash
if they can manage IE > 5.0 it is a killer, if they manage IE >5.5 it stands a good chance of being a killer app.
Going to play with this for sure :-)
Re: OpenLaszlo without Flash
if they can support DHTML ... it means they should have no problems with XUL, XAML or Java Applets then ... the opportunities are huge.
Re: OpenLaszlo without Flash
